Deutschlandrennen der SCSA abgesagt
SCSA Racing und der EuroSpeedway Lausitz haben sich geeinigt, die ursprünglich am 28. August geplanten Meisterschaftsläufe der SCSA im deutschen High Speed Tri-Oval, abzusagen.
Die SCSA, die sich nach Managementwechsel und auch technisch in einem Übergangsjahr befindet, kann leider kein akzeptables Starterfeld für die Rennen am EuroSpeedway garantieren. Die Hauptprobleme sind die hohen Reisekosten für die Teams und die Gefahr nach einem schweren Crash, die Fahrzeuge nicht rechtzeitig für die Rennen 11 & 12 am 4. September in Rockingham reparieren zu können.

Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem EuroSpeedway und der SCSA soll fortgeführt werden und vielleicht sehen wir die Donnervögel im Jahr 2006 wieder in der Lausitz.
Ein Wehrmutstropfen für alle deutschen Stock Fans ist die Deutschlandpremiere des IMAX NASCAR 3D Abenteuers. AMS wird in diesem Zusammenhang vom 17. - 20. August SCSA Fahrzeuge im Sony Center am Potsdamer Platz ausstellen, dazu mehr in den nächsten Tagen auf dieser Homepage.

German Trip for SCSA Racing Shelved
SCSA Racing and EuroSpeedway Lausitz have agreed that Rounds 9 & 10 of the 2005 SCSA Racing Championship on the German high speed oval scheduled for August 28th have been cancelled.
There are a number factors which have impacted this decision but the overriding consideration is the number of cars that would travel to Germany. While many teams were fully committed to making the trip to Germany, SCSA will be unable to provide sufficient cars on the grid to achieve acceptable racing for rounds 9 & 10.
"It is with much regret that we've had to take this difficult decision," said SCSA Race Series Director Mark Claussner. "We've spoken to all of the teams and many are unable to travel to Germany due in part to the costs involved and the fact that if their cars sustain major damage in Germany there will be no time to get them back to the UK and ready for the Rockingham meeting as a result of the proposed timetable on 4th September."
"It would be damaging to SCSA's credibility as a racing championship to run a depleted grid in Germany. We could then be faced with the prospect of an even smaller grid the following weekend at Rockingham if accident damaged cars cannot be repaired in time. We will continue to work with EuroSpeedway Lausitz to investigate the possibilities of a return to Germany in 2006." Claussner concluded.
